Can Everyone Start an Internet Business to Make Money Online?

That is a good question. Of course everyone can start an internet business to make money online. But this question is wrong! A better question would be: Can everyone start an internet business that is profitable?

We believe that making money online is NOT for everyone!

If the following statements match your current situation, then you should find another way to make money…

  • You want a simple method to make money, like pushing a button.
  • You don’t want or have time to work more than 1 hour per day on the business.
  • You don’t have more then $500 in your bank account and don’t want to loose it.
  • If you are afraid of risk.
  • You don’t want to do the research and take the time to learn new things.

In our opinion starting an internet business is one of greatest ways to make money. But many people have the wrong idea how much work and time it takes to really build a profitable internet business. They think that they can get rich quick and without any effort. Wrong!!

Don’t get us wrong, it is not that difficult to make money online, as long if you are willing to put in the time and work. If you have a good plan and have worked out a strategy, then making a good income online in 6 months is very doable.

Below you will find a comparison between starting a “regular” business and starting an internet business:

Cost of Starting a “regular” business:

  • $30000+ for commercial lease.
  • $10000-50000 Inventory (depends what type of product you sell.)
  • $200-1000 initial marketing budget (just a few paper ads.)
  • Work time 40+ hours a week depending on the type of business and how much can be automated. (You can also put in an initial salary per hour if you want to have a more complete example.)
  • Legal fees and insurance we cannot predict because it depends on what form and type of business you start.

Total risk for starting a “regular” business is $50000 (+ things that we couldn’t predict.)

Cost of Starting an Internet Business:

  • $5-10 domain name
  • $10-20 web hosting
  • $150-300 for software, logos, graphics, initial content, etc
  • $200 initial marketing budget.
  • Work time 10-20 hours a week depending on the type of business and how much can be automated. (You can also put in an initial salary per hour if you want to have a more complete example.)
  • Legal fees and insurance we cannot predict because it depends on what form and type of business you start.

Total risk for starting an internet business is laying between $350 and $550 (+ things that we couldn’t predict.)

Ok, ok, we know that this is not a complete picture, but you can see that there is a huge difference between starting an internet business to make money online and starting a “regular business.” Because the start-up costs are so low, more and more people are trying to make their fortune by starting an internet business.

Are you ready and prepared to start a business online to make money?

Online business of course is much easier than regular one, however the need for persistence and hardwork and no results are very common and most newcomers have to quit eventually. Therefore the selection of good saleable product and good marketing plan is the backbone.
